There is no dearth of those involved in dirty money but Netflix will have to give the filmmakers a green signal. There was a two-year gap between the release of the first and second season of the show. It has been two years since season two premiered as well. But we did go through a pandemic which may be partly why there has not yet been an update about the show. We will have to wait and see if the show gets renewed this year.

The premise of the show is to expose the unethical behavior of corporates trying to get away with hoodwinking the general public. Some of the scandals that the show has shown us so far include Volkswagen’s “clean diesel” cars incident, which seemed like a dream come true for carbon-conscious drivers until a fraud of staggering proportions came to light; HSBC’s money laundering for the Sinaloa Cartel, Hezbollah and others in Mexico; the ruthless and fraudulent practices that helped the growth of Wells Fargo that was long seen as the “golden child” of banking.

If the show gets renewed for another season, it could possibly cover similar scams and scandals including many that took place during the pandemic. The number of millionaires increased by 5.2 million to 56.1 million globally when the whole world was suffering from the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. 

Dirty Money Season 3: When Will It Release?

The show has not been renewed yet. It takes a lot of time and research to make a well-informed documentary that gets all the facts right. We do not know whether the filmmakers are already working on exposing the big corporates yet. If they are, and Netflix announces there will be another season of Dirty Money, we could be seeing it as early as 2023. If not, we will probably have to wait longer, till about 2024 or even 2025. But nothing has been confirmed yet.

The cast of the documentary includes Matt Taibi, Alex Gibney, Anabel Hernandez. It also included self-interviewer Fisher Stevens. The series included Fahmi Qadir, Simon Trepanier, and many more distinguished people in the cast.

Dirty Money Season 3: Quick Storyline

The first season of the series was released on the 26^th of January, 2018. There were six episodes and each with a duration of one hour. Each of the episodes portrayed several corruption documentaries

The second season was followed by the portrayal of fallacy, fraudulence, greediness, corruption, and what not. The show pictured the Ex-Prime Minister of Malaysia, named Najib Razak, and also the breath-taking center of attraction being  Jared Kushner, also known as the “Slumlord Millionaire.” The audience was awestruck by the outstanding research and portrayal of characters, research, and screenplay by the documentarian, Alex Gibney, who had won an Oscar.

If one looks closely into the plot of the series one would see and experience a closer perspective of the various scandals which remain untold and certain humungous corruption cases which we, as common people fail to reach, but suffer the most, directly and indirectly.
